Onion Knights And ALL

A Final Fantasy Tactics Fanworks Digital Anthology
Focusing on Generic Job Units

About

The goal of Onion Knights and All is to create an immersive anthology of written and drawn fanworks that place readers in Ivalice around the time of the War of the Lions, as told by or for the generic class job units. We hope to fill an anthology of short comics, illustration(s), prose, journal entries, correspondence, spell incantations or skill instructions, bestiary notes, rumors & tavern stories and so on. Pieces that some basic grunt on the front lines would find useful, amusing, or comforting."Onion Knight" as a class is special to Final Fantasy Tactics (WotL version) in that mastery requires mastery of virtually all other non-NPC classes. It's used here as a symbolic job class that sums up the frustrations and joys of level grinding. The "and all" part is to be inclusive of those still on the road to job class mastery. In spirit, this anthology is "for those in Ivalice still grinding"The anthology will be released as a digital zine with options to download printable files as well as obtain physical goods to commemorate the release. See the distribution section for more details.WITH THANKS FOR INSPIRATION BY:
The lively community of gamblers, lurkers, and match commentators of the FFTBG Community on Twitch.

Overall Guidelines

THIS IS A NON-JURIED ZINE: All who sign up and submit a completed work by deadline will be included in the final anthology.◾ Submissions can be Narrative or POV, with a focus on Original Characters of the various game units.◾ NPC/Named Characters of the main story are allowed as guests in your work, but the focus should be works “for” or about the generic units found in the game.◾ Participants may use PS1 Original or WoTL English localization for names and job classes.◾ Participants may sign up for either written works, illustrated work, or in a partnership with both.◾ Works may only be declined for inclusion in the final release for bad faith submission, incompleteness, or prohibited content (see below).

Content Guidelines

◾ Submissions should be complete, or self contained derivative of a larger work (self-referential). Example: no prologues or First Chapters of a work published elsewhere, but a spin off of one's own FFT fanwork published elsewhere is okay as long as it still focuses on generic units.◾ The Anthology rating will be "Mature" aligned to AO3 standards: the content may contain adult themes (sex, violence, etc.) that aren't as graphic as explicit-rated content."◾ The contents of submission either written or drawn content cannot be higher than "Mature." Of course, submissions of content meeting lesser-ratings G or Teen are allowed, but the entire work will be rated "Mature."◾ Vulgar language is allowed, dialogue censorship is at the discretion of each contributor.◾ Subjects that include sexual acts, violence. blood, death, various traumas (including religious) may be mentioned, alluded to, or included in context, but not explicitly described or visually portrayed.◾ Explicitly drawn gore is prohibited (exposed organs, entrails), including animal gore.◾ Submissions may be approved or declined based on content during the Draft II phase.◾ If unsure about your content, please contact Mod first.
